Adding a Barclaycard ePDQ connection

Adding a Barclaycard ePDQ connection to your BR-DGE retail channel requires you to collect some information for us to add to your BR-DGE retail channels. This article details the information BR-DGE requires, and how you can locate it.


Barclaycard ePDQ Account

If you don't already have a Barclaycard Account then you will need to create one with Barclaycard. There are a few steps you must take to configure and activate your account before it is ready to use. Please follow the Barclaycard’s guide.


BR-DGE requires the following information to allow you to route payments to Barclaycard ePDQ through our platform:


  • PSP Id
  • User Id
  • ePDQ Api Password
  • shaPassPhrase
  • shaOutPassPhrase


Please note that some of these details are sensitive. We ask you to handle these with care.


  • How to locate your PSP Id?
  • This is the Login Name value used to login to Barclaycard Account.


  • How to locate your User Id?
  • Login to Barclaycard Portal.
  • Navigate to Configuration > Users.
  • The value for User Id must be one of the values in the UserID column.


  • How to locate your ePDQ Api Password?
  • This is the Password value used to login to Barclaycard Account.


  • How to locate your shaPassPhrase?
  • Login to Barclaycard Portal.
  • Navigate to Configuration > Technical Information > Data and origin verification.
  • Under the Checks for e-Commerce & Alias Gateway section click on Visible for the SHA-IN pass phrase.
  • The value displayed is the one to use for shaPassPhrase.


  • How to locate your shaOutPassPhrase?
  • Login to Barclaycard Portal.
  • Navigate to Configuration > Technical Information > Transaction Feedback.
  • Under the Security for request parameters section click on Visible for the SHA-OUT pass phrase.
  • The value displayed is the one to use for shaOutPassPhrase.
