Modified on Tue, 8 Oct at 9:49 AM

Adding a Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse connection to your BR-DGE retail channel requires you to collect some information for us to add to your BR-DGE retail channels. This article details the information BR-DGE requires, and how you can locate it.

Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse Account

If you don't already have a Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse Account, then you will need to contact the Barclays team and arrange a callback.

BR-DGE requires the following information to allow you to route payments to Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse through our platform:

  • Merchant Id
  • Merchant Key Id
  • Merchant Secret Key

Please note that some of these details are sensitive. We ask you to handle these with care.

  • How to locate your Merchant Id?
  • Login to Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse Portal.
  • On the portal main page, there is a banner at the top with configuration details.
  • The value for Merchant Id is the value in this banner for Transacting Id.

  • How to create your Merchant Secret Key?
  • The value for Merchant Secret Key Id is the shared secret key generated in the above step.

3-D Secure Prerequisites:

Please contact the Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse Support team to ensure that your Merchant Id is configured for 3-D Secure and the following credentials are in place correctly;

  • API Identifier - A non-secure value that should be passed within a JWT token under the iss claim.
  • Org Unit Id - A non-secure value that should be passed within a JWT token under the OrgUnitId claim.
  • API Key - A secure value that should never be rendered or displayed anywhere within a browser/mobile app.
NOTE: This value must only ever be stored on your server. The API Key is used to sign a JWT token to initialise the connection to Cardinal Commerce, and to verify the JWT token signature received back from Cardinal.
  • To verify if you have 3-D Secure configured, please see instructions via this Cardinal knowledge article.

These credentials must be present in your Barclaycard SmartPay Fuse account for 3-D Secure to work correctly.
